Testing the ClinicOffice Hosted Edition

Thanks for your interest in ClinicOffice Hosted Edition!

We’ve setup a Sample Database on one of our servers so that you can try out the Hosted Edition for yourself.

Please note that this database is hosted publicly for demonstration purposes, so please do not enter any private or confidential data as other potential clients might be testing it too! The sample database is reset every night.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Which platform are you using to connect in?

Connecting in from Microsoft Windows

Click here to download a tiny zip file which contains the connection settings to our server
Open the zip file and copy the “Demo User.rdp” file to your desktop
Double-click the RDP file to connect to our server
(NOTE: you may see various “Windows Security” warnings. This is normal and you can safely tick any boxes which say “Don’t ask me again” to avoid those messages in future.)
You will now be prompted for the SERVER username and password :-
The SERVER Username is: Demo User
The SERVER Password is: [Use the form at the bottom of this page to request the password]
The ClinicOffice Hosted Edition should now start on your computer.All that remains is to logon to the Sample Database with the following details :-The CLINICOFFICE Username is: Demo User
The CLINICOFFICE Password is: [The same password as above]

Connecting in from an Apple MAC

Firstly, you need to have a Remote Desktop application installed on your MAC to connect to a Windows Server.We recommend the Parallels Client for MACs which is completely free. To install it, go to the App Store on your MAC and search for “Parallels Client” and then install it via the App Store. (An alternative to Parallels Client is Microsoft Remote Desktop for MACs.)
Whether you use Parallels Client or Microsoft Remote Desktop, you need to create a new RDP connection with the following details :-
The SERVER Computer is: iomart1.clinicoffice.co.uk
The SERVER Username is: Demo User
The SERVER Password is: [Use the form at the bottom of this page to request the password]

(NOTE: Other configuration options are worth exploring too. For example, under DISPLAY settings you can choose to run the connection full screen or in a window, and under LOCAL RESOURCES we recommend ticking the “Disk Drives” and “Printers” box so that you can (a) upload files and (b) use your printer.
Once you’re connected to the Windows server, simply double click the icon on the desktop to launch the ClinicOffice Hosted Edition. All that remains is to logon to the Sample Database with the following details :-
The CLINICOFFICE Username is: Demo User
The CLINICOFFICE Password is: [The same password as above]

Connecting in from other devices

IMPORTANT NOTE: while it is possible to use the Hosted Edition from any internet device, please bear in mind that ClinicOffice was designed for Windows PCs and this is by far the best way to use the program. We’re also not able to offer support for other operating systems or devices.

Whatever device you’re using, you must first download and install a “Remote Desktop” program to allow your device to connect to a Windows Server. Here are the apps we recommend for different devices :-
Apple iPhone or iPad – App Store Link
Android Phone or Tablet – Google Play Store Link
Windows Phones – Remote Desktop is already built-in [Google Search]
