Payment Integration

ClinicOffice is integrates with several different payment providers. Our two ‘preferred’ payment partners are DOJO and BLINK. Signing up for an account with one of these providers will allow you to:

Quickly and easily process credit/debit cards directly from ClinicOffice
Send out invoices with a secure payment link so that clients can pay online
Allow patients to book and pay for their own appointments via the Online Diary

What are the benefits?

Increased Efficiency – When taking card payments, you would usually have to process the card AND then record the payment in ClinicOffice. This becomes a one-step process, saving time and increasing efficiency.
PCI DSS Compliance – You can have peace of mind that the providers we work with are 100% PCI DSS compliant. Confidential card details are never stored on your computers and sensitive data is always encrypted.
Low Transaction Costs – We’ve negotiated excellent discounted rates for ClinicOffice customers. Please compare the card processing fees to other companies such as PayPal or Stripe to see how much you’d save.
Improved Cashflow with Online Payments – The ability to send online payment links directly from ClinicOffice means that invoices often get paid more quickly, resulting in better cashflow for your business.

What are the costs and requirements?

There are ABSOLUTELY no charges from us! However, you will have to sign up with a payment provider and there will obviously be a small charge for transaction fees. Once you have an account with DOJO or BLINK, you will be able to use ClinicOffice to quickly and easily process card payments.

To accept online payments (e.g. pay-by-link), you need to be either a Hosted customer, or subscribe to our Online Services.

Which Payment Provider should I choose?

Both DOJO and BLINK enable you to process online payments e.g. for patients to book and pay for appointments online via your website. Where they differ is how you handle “on-site” card payments i.e. in-person payments at your clinic.

Physical Card Machine

DOJO provide physical card terminal(s) which fully integrate with ClinicOffice.

Virtual Payment Terminal

BLINK provide a virtual card terminal rather than physical card machines.

A physical card terminal is the more convenient solution for “customer present” transactions.

This not only allows your clients to pay by inserting their card into the terminal and entering their PIN, but also supports ‘contactless’ payments, so clients can just ‘tap’ their card to pay for smaller amounts.

A virtual terminal is more versatile – especially if taking payments at multiple locations.

You can still key in card details for “customer present” transactions, but you also have the added flexibility of processing payments from different locations, since the physical card machine is not required.

Monthly cost: £15+vat per terminal
Consumer Debit Cards: 0.4% + 3.85p
Consumer Credit Cards: 1% + 3.85p
Premium Credit Cards: 1.9% + 3.85p

Consumer Credit Cards: 1.2% + 2p
Premium Credit Cards: 2.4% + 2p

(*) PLEASE NOTE: these are approximate ‘starting‘ prices for relatively low card turnover. These companies will usually be able to offer even better prices for high card turnover and if you’re already with another payment provider, they will do their best to match or beat your current transaction fees.
