Paymentsense integration is offered as a standard feature in ClinicOffice, so there are no additional charges from us at all.
Paymentsense have told us that they “can beat current card provider rates by up to 40%” plus they offer to pay up to £3,000 towards any cancellation fees you may be charged by your current provider for switching to them. Furthermore, they will offer the best prices they can based on the size of your business and the amount of trade that you will be putting through the card machine.
PLEASE NOTE: These prices are based on a small business with low card throughput, hence these are the highest prices that a ClinicOffice customer would pay. Paymentsense prices are flexible and the more business you put through the card machine, the lower their prices will be.

Q. I already have a Worldpay (or Cardsave) account which I use with ClinicOffice - should I switch?
It’s entirely up to you. If you want to use a physical card machine at your clinic, then yes it would be a good idea to contact Paymentsense to ask about switching over. Remember, they offer to beat your existing rates anyway, plus they will cover (up to £3000) any fees you would pay your current provider to switch.
Please note that although Paymentsense is now our recommended payment provider for use with ClinicOffice, we will still continue to support both Online Worldpay and Cardsave integrations.
Q. Do I need to be PCI DSS Compliant to take card payments?
Good question… and a difficult one to answer since PCI DSS is such a difficult and complex topic.
Fortunately, Paymentsense have got you covered. When you sign up for a Payment sense account they will also enrol you in their PCI DSS compliance scheme which attests to you being PCI DSS compliant. There is a monthly charge of approximately £5, but it’s a “necessary evil” for all merchants who process card transactions.
We offer a choice of providers, some of which offer differing levels of functionality. You are able to run multiple account types/providers within ClinicOffice depending on the type of transactions you wish to process.
This account adds the ability to link a physical card terminal with ClinicOffice. It is an ideal solution for “customer present” transactions i.e. when most of your payments are taken at your clinic with the customer in front of you.
This solution is ideal for “customer not present” transactions, or in other words, the payment can be taken over the phone via a virtual terminal that appears on your screen.
This solution combines the functionality of Online Payments (ECOM/MOTO) for ‘customer not present’ transactions & the option for customers to pay using a physical card terminal. This could be useful if you needed to accept online diary payments, facilitate over the phone payments for remote consultations, plus still have the option to accept physical card payments.
