ClinicOffice Hosted Launcher

ClinicOffice Launcher

Q. What is the ClinicOffice Launcher?

It’s a small MS Windows program to simplify launching the ClinicOffice Hosted Edition. It saves dealing with RDP files, SSL certificate renewals or IP address whitelisting.

Q. What do I need to do?

Click the button to download the SETUP file and install it on your computer. Alternatively you can download the stand-alone EXE file, if that’s easier for you to work with.

If you’re not sure which to choose, go for the SETUP INSTALLER (the top one).

Q. What are my Account Details? (“Customer Ref”, “Registered Name”…)

Simply login to your CLIENT PORTAL account and click Account Details at the bottom left. (If you can’t see “Account Details”, click the menu button at the top left). Alternatively drop us an email or give us a call and we’ll be happy to help!

Frequently asked questions…

If you’re unsure, we recommend downloading the SETUP file and installing that.

Here are a couple of choices:

(1) Download the full setup file and install it via a logon script. Installing “over the top” of an existing installation is harmless – in fact that’s how to update this app in future if needed. Also you can specify command line switches such as /SILENT or /VERYSILENT to remove user interaction. Other command line switches are available here: https://jrsoftware.org/ishelp/index.php?topic=setupcmdline

(2) Download the stand-alone “CO_Launcher.exe” file and place it on a company file-share somewhere. Create a shortcut to the .exe file and deploy that shortcut to user’s desktops. In future, to update “CO_Launcher.exe”, you just replace the shared .exe in that one location.

CO_Launcher.exe also accepts command line switches, for example as follows:

/custref:123456 /regname:"Dr Joe Bloggs" /regcompany:"The Clinic" /autolaunch:true

No, you can keep using RDP files and do manual white-listing… but… why?! This makes life much easier. Plus, if you use a static RDP file then when the SSL certificate expires, you will see some jarring warning messages. The ClinicOffice Launcher keeps everything updated.

No, it’s a Microsoft Windows app. However it’s still perfectly possible to connect to your ClinicOffice Hosted account on a MAC – click here for more information. If you need any assistance please feel free to give us a call and we’re happy to help (see below for details).
