Can ClinicOffice run on my Tablet or Phone?
ClinicOffice is a Windows application, so it requires Microsoft Windows to run on and therefore cannot be installed on non-Windows tablets or smartphones.
However, it is possible to connect to the ClinicOffice HOSTED Edition using a tablet or smartphone (e.g. iPad, iPhone, Android Tablet / Phone etc.). This is because the ClinicOffice Hosted Edition is running on our Windows cloud servers, and your device is simply connecting in to it, rather than running the program itself.
It is important to note that ClinicOffice was DESIGNED to run on a Microsoft Windows desktop computer. This means that while it’s possible to connect in to the ClinicOffice HOSTED Edition from a mobile device, the limited screen size, lack of mouse and need for a virtual keyboard (which takes up a large portion of the screen) detract from the functionality of the software and makes it harder to use.

The best way by far to access your database on a smartphone would be to use our ClinicOffice Web service which works alongside your main ClinicOffice account allowing you to connect to your database via a web browser. It allows you to view/book/cancel appointments along with viewing basic patient information and note taking, making it the perfect tool for a remote receptionist or for a staff member on-the-go!
