ClinicOffice is now equipped with a barcode scanning system that allows you to create or scan an existing barcode and assign it to an item. The program supports all one-dimensional (1D) barcode standards and can work with any 1D scanner so long as it is compatible with Microsoft Windows.

      Q. How do I use this feature?

You can use barcode scanning to add items or products quickly to invoices, credit notes, charges, purchase orders, quotes or when adding or removing stock via the Stock Manager. An example of adding a barcode to a specific item is shown below.

Once the record has been saved within ClinicOffice with a unique barcode, you can add the item to a new invoice or charge simply by clicking the Scan Barcode button that you’ll now find on each editor.

When you click on the Scan Barcode button, you’ll see the following window on-screen.

Whilst this window is open, you can use your scanner as required and even scan multiple items at once.

Please let us know if you have any questions, or need any help with this new feature!
