Through the Online Booking system which is part of the ClinicOffice Web edition you can share documents with your patients. This is useful if you need to share background medical information, exercise sheets or your terms and conditions as a few examples.

For more information on the Web Edition, please see ClinicOffice Online Services – Pioneer Software.

Step 1 – Enabling the Feature

Login to the Web Edition using your ClinicOffice credentials. Click on the Settings  button on the left-hand side panel and go to Admin Settings. You will then see six tabs running across the top of the screen. Click ‘Patient Portal’ as below.

Next, switch the slider on for the option, ‘Enable Secure Documents feature‘ and click Save.

Step 2 – How to share documents

The next step is to select the documents that you need to share with the patient. To do this, go to the patient’s record and click on the Documents tab.

From here click on the folder named “Portal – Secure Docs” and click Add Files. Locate the documents you wish to share and click Open.

Step 3 – How the Patient Can View the Documents

When a patient logs on using their details, they will now see a new menu item on the left panel called ‘Secure Documents’.

Clicking on that will display the following screen.

From here the patient simply needs to double-click on a document to view it. When they do a preview of the document will be displayed in the browser. Alternatively, they can click on the document once and click the Download  button to download the file locally.
