You have to pay for this facility by buying text credits. For the volume of appointments we have this would be very expensive so we do not use the facility.

Most of your competitors include this as a free facility within their software; any plans to do this yourself.

Not 100% sure but I don’t think V5 has the facility to email appointment reminders?

You can set up a contact rule (appointement reminder), at the very bottom of the program. At the bottom of the next window you can choose your appointment reminder, and the way you want ClinicOffice to do this:

        – text
        – email
        – letter

        Hi there,

As Roelof mentioned, you can configure an appointment reminder to be sent by either SMS or E-mail. For the E-mail appointment reminders to work, please make sure you have congifured your SMTP settings. To do this you need to go to VIEW | PROGRAM SETTINGS | GLOBAL SETTINGS | SMTP SERVERS

Thanks for your post and thanks Roelof for your contribution.

Thought it might do emails but we don’t have the intergrated email package so can’t use this feature 🙁

Even without the email feature you can still send reminders via email. Just set up the SMTP servers, and Clinic Office will do the rest.

            Hi Swokes,

You don’t need the Email Manager module to send out emails. If you configure your SMTP server with the instructions above, the contact rule will send out your email reminders!

            Thanks.
