active window closes after using quick transaction

when i take a payment from the quicktranscation screen, and click ok, the active window closes and the next open windows screen (whatever is open, outlook express, internet explorer, word etc) opens up. this muct be related to the recent most recent version, since it was behaving fine last week before i downloaded the most recent version. any ideas as to why this may be happening?
