    I Have started getting this error message (Database Shared Access Error #300). It says I should shut down and start again although this hasn’t helped.
    Can you advise?
    I am running Clinic Office V5 on Windows 8.

    If you stop the ClinicOffice EDB server in your services, then open up ClinicOffice again, the EDB services should restart and then you should be able to login.
    This maybe down to your Anti Virus software scanning ClinicOffice as you are accessing the same files. Does it happen often and on all computers? If you can, check the scheduled scan on your Anti Virus to see if it could conflict with the time you are accessing ClinicOffice. If so, please exclude ClinicOffice from your Anti Virus software.

    Another possibility is backup software (something like DropBox for example) which is trying to backup your database while it’s in use. Please make sure no other programs are trying to access your ClinicOffice database files.
