    Hi

    When selecting a template to send email to send to patient, how do I generate an email template that has the ability to merge certain details into the body of the email, such as patient name, appointment date etc?

    Thanks for your post.

    One way to create email templates containing the merge data you listed would be to use the ‘CONTACT CENTRE’ in ClinicOffice. This will also allow you to create automatic rules that can be run at set times notifying patients of upcoming appointments.     If however you are referring to sending an email from a letter template, and this is what you wish to adjust, then you will first need to locate the letter template in question under the ‘REPORTS AND TEMPLATES’ section of ClinicOffice. Once you have found it, right click, and select ‘EDIT TEMPLATE’. From here you will notice a number of tabs at the top of the screen. Select ‘DATA MERGE’ and then click ‘INSERT MERGE FIELD’. A drop down list will now be displayed showing all of the possible data merge options.
