I have been in contact with the ICO to discuss various issues surrounding GDPR. They emphasised the importance of encrypting emails sent to patients. As far as I know, Clinic Office doesn’t have this feature at the moment so could you clarify whether this will be introduced, and if not, is there a form of email encryption software (preferably free!) that can be used from within the Clinic Office software, so that we can comply with this request?
Many thanks, LucyMarch 20, 2018 at 1:45 pm #33819
Thanks for your question.
We are indeed aware of the need to implement this feature directly into ClinicOffice, and this is due for release in our next update. It will allow the user the option to choose whether to send emails as an encrypted format or to send normally.
This will of course be released before the switch over date for GDPR in May of this year.March 22, 2018 at 2:35 pm #33820
