Within CO it’s possible to share a database, so several people can use one database within a local network. Do you have an instruction on how to share a database over the internet, so people can use one database from a remote location? Is it necessary that the hosting computer runs on Windows server or is, let’s say, Windows 7 also OK?

Wouldn’t you be better of by using the online / hosted version of CO?

Or, if you just want to acces the computer you can also use teamviewer to share the screen. My guess is, that if you want to use the full power of clinic, the connection will be too slow (the upload).

Hi – thanks for you enquiry. As Roelof suggests, we would strongly recommend the Hosted Edition of ClinicOffice for this purpose :-

The alternative is to use some sort of Windows Server configuration yourself to allow remote logons to your Windows server, such as Windows Remote Desktop Services (RDS), Citrix, TSPlus. Alternatively, some other remote technology like LogMeIn, TeamViewer or GotoMyPC might suit your requirements.
