Apologies if this question has already been answered somewhere previously I have struggled to find it.
On one of the computers on the network using clinic office, clinic office keeps stalling/freezing and then has this error message, System.OutOfMemoryExection Error
Any advice?
February 20, 2018 at 2:45 pm #33813Hi,
Thanks for your post.
That error is a Windows message, and one that usually appears when your PC runs out of RAM (Memory needed for your PC to multi task. Do you know the specs of the PC and the age?
Please see this link to our recommended specs for ClinicOffice https://pioneersoftware.co.uk/co-specs
If you are on our support plan, then you can give us a call and we can connect to the PC to demonstrate the problem.
Alternatively please feel free to reply to this post if you have any more questions on the subject.
February 21, 2018 at 2:31 pm #33814Hello Josh,
This is a new all-in-1 pc, running windows 10, on an i3 processor with 4Gb ram (so within your requirements).
The error message seems to come from clinic office (see below)February 23, 2018 at 9:36 am #33815Sorry to hear that you have been having been having this issue. To help us diagnose the problem we just have some questions.
1) Does this error appear often?
2) At the time it appears is there anything the user is doing in particular in ClinicOffice. For example, are they about to print the diary, trying to run a report via the right-click menu on the diary or just about to open an appointment?
3) Which anti-virus program have you got installed on the computer?
February 23, 2018 at 2:02 pm #33816This appears to happen every time the computer is reactivated from screen saver, so fairly often yes.
The antivirus is AVG.February 26, 2018 at 9:58 am #33817Hi,
Thanks for those details. The next time the error appears, please could you click the ‘Email Error Report’ button. This will allow us to dig through the code and find the exact point at which the error occurred.
Apologies if you have already sent it, I did look through our error logs and couldn’t see anything relating to your Clinic.
Please also send through as many of them as you can, because it may be that this error does not happen because of something inside Clinic Office, rather it is being caused by another program such as your anti-virus, and so if we were only to see one of the errors, we wouldn’t be able to get the full picture.
We look forward to hearing from you.
